Mrs. Byrne’s Senior Infants recently had a visit from a nurse. Our aistear theme in January was the Doctor’s Surgery. Ausra Connery, Adam’s Mom kindly offered to speak to the children and tell them all about her very important job. The children loved chatting to her and learned so much. She let them listen to their own heartbeat using a stethoscope, taught them how to wash their hands correctly and demonstrated the proper use of plasters & bandages. Ausra definitely thinks we have a few future doctors and nurses in Scoil Iosa!
