Scoil Íosa senior boys cross country running team line up at the start of the County finals held on Thursday September 26th at Belleek, Ballina. This team WON the county championships, thus becoming the first team ever from the school to do so and this achievement means they are now through to the Connacht finals which are scheduled for mid-October. John William Burke was our first runner home, finishing in 6th place. He was followed by Mark Feeney, Tom Donnellan, Ismail Naseer, Kyle Burke and Adam Kelly. Well done also to Joshua Maughan who qualified for the county final in the 3rd and 4th class boys race. Subs on the senior team were Josh Kavanagh and Fionn Conlan. They were given a heroes welcome back to the school by all classes!
